Archiving single mailboxes
A single mailbox will be archived for a specific MailStore user. The archiving process can be executed manually or automatically according to a schedule. Please read more in chapter Archiving an Exchange Mailbox.

Archiving multiple mailboxes
With MailStore, some or all mailboxes of an Exchange server can be archived in one step. All necessary preparations, such as creating MailStore users, can be made automatically during the archiving process. Archiving can be executed manually or automatically according to a schedule. Please read more in chapter Centrally Archiving Multiple Mailboxes .

Hint: Multiple Exchange server mailboxes can be archived immediately after installing MailStore Server. Simply log on as the MailStore administrator via MailStore Client, click on Archive Email, then on Microsoft Exchange and select Multiple Mailboxes. A wizard opens guiding you through the setup process.

Archiving public folders
With MailStore Server, emails from the public folders of the Microsoft Exchange server can be archived and made available to all or some of the MailStore users. The archiving process can be executed manually or automatically according to a schedule. Please read more in chapter Archiving Public Folders.

Archiving all emails automatically upon sending and receiving
With the support of the Exchange Server Journaling feature, MailStore can archive the incoming and outgoing emails of all users automatically. This is the only way to ensure that all emails are archived in their entirety. Please read more in chapter Archiving Emails Directly upon Sending and Receiving.
