Reset administrator password

The printable version is no longer supported and may have rendering errors. Please update your browser bookmarks and please use the default browser print function instead.

To reset the administrator password, follow these instructions:

  • Start the MailStore Gateway Config Tool by clicking on the desktop shortcut MailStore Gateway.
  • Stop the Gateway service by clicking Stop Service.
  • Open a command prompt with administrative privileges (cmd).
  • Navigate to the C:\Program Files\MailStore\MailStore Gateway\service folder.
  • Run the command Host.exe /locksmith to reset the password.
 cd "C:\Program Files\MailStore\MailStore Gateway\service"
 Host.exe /locksmith
  • In the command prompt you will get an output with the new password.
  • Restart the Gateway service by returning to the MailStore Gateway Config Tool and clicking Start Service.
